Linda Yoshida, writing as Kaylin McFarren, wasn't born with  a pen in hand like so many of her talented fellow authors, she has been actively involved in both business and personal writing projects for many years. As the director of a fine art gallery, she assisted in furthering the careers of numerous visual artists who under her guidance gained recognition through promotional opportunities and in national publications. Eager to spread her own creative wings, she has since steered her energy toward writing novels. Rev. Paul graduated from Azusa Pacific University in 1973 with a 3.88 GPA. He also graduated from the Boy Scouts of America’s National Executive Institute in 1984. While attending the NEI, Paul was elected by his peers to serve as their class president for the second half of the course, and finished at the head of his graduating class. He also completed training for Gamesmanship Therapy for Children and Teens in a psychiatric setting at the Menninger Institute in Kansas City, Kansas. He was ordained a Southern Baptist Minister in 1984.

"Chuck" has worked in three sectors: military (20 years), corporate (12 years), academic (17 years). He was a U.S. Army airborne – ranger, infantry officer. Toftoy is a highly decorated (wounded twice) Vietnam veteran (two tours). His Doctorate is in Strategic Planning and he was awarded an MBA from Tulane University, received his BS in Engineering from West Point. In the Corporate world he served as a General Manager for Raytheon Service Company, Director of Marketing for Lear Siegler, Inc., President of PATCH Associates, and others. At George Washington University, Toftoy was the Director of the Entrepreneurial Small Business Program. He taught at the undergraduate and graduate level in The Business School. This included the Executive MBA Program. Retired as a professor emeritus in 2007.

Mary Jo Nickum is a retired librarian and project manager, who is now an editor and freelance writer. Her primary focus is on science for the public, especially topics related to natural history. She worked as a science librarian at the US Environmental Protection Agency, National Water Quality Laboratory in Duluth, MN, as Oceanography/Zoology librarian at Oregon State University, Corvallis, OR, as Project Manager of the Fish and Wildlife Reference Service in Rockville, MD, and as a Division Manager for the Maxima Corporation, a Washington, DC firm that specialized in information services for Federal and County governments. She is a former editor of The Progressive Fish-Culturist, Editor-in-Chief of the Intermountain Journal of Science, and currently edits the World Aquaculture magazine.
